Plan a road trip from Istanbul and Ankara to the Mediterranean coast and Cappadocia. There are no rental offers in Turkey yet: rental partners are not connected to GetnDrive.
Seven trip guides. Each one separates the place you travel to from the airports and towns where a trip can start.
Practical points to check before you travel. Rules can change, so confirm them for your own licence and route.
Licence
What you need depends on the country that issued your licence. UK travel advice, for example, asks UK drivers for a 1968 International Driving Permit or a UK licence notarised in Turkish. Check the current rule for your own licence before you travel.
Tolls
Tolls on motorways and the large Bosphorus bridges in Istanbul are collected electronically through HGS tags. Ask the rental company whether the car has a tag and how tolls are charged.
Road
Traffic drives on the right. Speed limits are lower in towns and higher on divided roads and motorways; follow the signs on each road.
Distances
Istanbul, the Mediterranean coast and Cappadocia are far apart by road. Plan each region on its own and choose the arrival airport closest to it.
Each guide names the place you travel to. Where a trip starts is a separate choice.
Alanya, Side, Fethiye and Cappadocia are served by airports outside the towns themselves: Gazipaşa–Alanya, Antalya, Dalaman, Nevşehir Kapadokya and Kayseri.
Istanbul Airport is on the European side and Sabiha Gökçen on the Asian side — two very different starting points in one city.
When offers appear, each one will name its own pick-up place. Until then, no page here promises pick-up or delivery anywhere.
